Tamura Price began her art education observing the world around her in its bold colors, forever shifting patterns and delicate forms. Children’s books told the stories, but it was the illustrations that captured her imagination. A gifted mimic of favorite illustrators emerged developing a style of her own and a keen eye for the unnoticed - the simplistic beauty that arrests, and startles wonder awake. It is her constant joy to attempt to recreate these observations in a variety of mediums where color, pattern and shape play the leading roles.
